Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve

Scout and I recently got back from a terrific weekend getaway in Guerneville, CA, which is a really cool little town in Sonoma County.  Highlights of our weekend included an incredible winery tour of Pat Kuleto's winery in Napa, canoeing along the Russian River with Burke's Canoes, eating a gorgeous dinner at a fabulous little restaurant called Boon, and hiking through the redwoods at Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve.  Our camera wasn't with us the whole time, but we did manage to capture some beautiful shots of our hike through the redwoods.  Can you believe they can grown upwards of 360 feet, and only have roots that are 12 feet deep?! They are truly amazing trees.  We had a great time.
